Give Tech
The Digital Divide
Defined as the economic, educational, and social inequalities between those who have computers and online access and those who do not.
Our Mission
Eliminate the digital divide by connecting those with technology to give to those who need technology.

The Facts
Roughly three-in-ten adults with household incomes below $30,000 a year (29%) don’t own a smartphone. More than four-in-ten don’t have home broadband services (44%) or a traditional computer (46%). And a majority of lower-income Americans are not tablet owners. By comparison, each of these technologies is nearly ubiquitous among adults in households earning $100,000 or more a year.

What We Do
Give Tech is a local, nonprofit seeking to provide technology to individuals lacking the resources to acquire the same. We collect, repair, and then give used technology equipment to those in need. Our program can take individual donations or large donations from companies that are upgrading computer systems and that might have large quantities of old technology to donate.
We accept used computers, monitors, printers, modems, and other electronic equipment in any condition.
We’re Good for the Environment
E-cycle is the practice of reusing, donating or redistributing an electronic item until the end of its life cycle and then recycling the item when it is no longer usable.
Electronics contain hazardous substances. Even small amounts of these substances can be dangerous if released into the air, water and soil. E-cycling protects our health and environment by keeping these substances out of our landfills and incinerators.
